Marlee wandered into our lives almost three weeks ago. We discovered her early one Saturday morning, just before sunrise. She was lost and hungry. After our valiant but unsuccessful effort to find her family, she’s really starting to find her place here in our home. We kind of new from the start that she was meant to find us.
Casey Joe and Abbie were immediately in love with her and you will be too…when you see her sweet face.
At first glance, Ally and Dooley appear to be total and complete opposites.
In reality, they are A LOT more alike than you might realize.
They share toys (like “reindeer”) and a very special connection with their mom. They wouldn’t miss a car ride for anything. They love to hang out in the sunroom or outside on the deck, even though the squirrels drive them both nuts! Above all else, they share a beautiful brother-sister bond. Playing, snuggling and taking good care of each other.
Here are just a few of my favorites from our session this week. These car ride shots are fabulous! How do they always know when you’re going someplace fun?
This is just a quick reminder that I will be away from the studio for a few days…beginning Saturday 11/1 through Wed 11/5. I’ll be speding some much anticipated time visiting with family and friends. As for Casey Joe & Abbie, they’ll be hanging at home with Dad this weekend. Lucky dogs.
Molotov greeted me on the street with a giant hug! He is seriously the most social dog I have ever met. He says “hello” to everyone and is always up for an impromptu game of tug-o-war with friends from the building. During our session, people walking by would stop and love on him…boy, he was in doggie heaven!
And the wrinkles. Just look at that face. All I can say is you had better be prepared to play hard…this guy is non-stop with his tire.
I have actually been scouting train tracks for ages. Waiting for just the right client. When it happens, it’s almost magic. Molotov you rocked this scene!
And one more…because it’s Friday and I couldn’t get enough of the fabulous vintage brick. We were in the old tabacco warehouse district in Durham, amazing colors and textures everywhere!
You would never know Honey has recently recovered from surgery…this little one was so spunky and animated! Her adorable half-sister Ginger was a little shy at first, but that soon gave way to her truly charming and gentle character. When these two sweet girls aren’t sunning in the driveway or sharing a special bone…you can probably find them lounging in their favorite chair together.
We even got to enjoy a gorgeous sunset on our walk home from the pond…thanks again for the wonderful afternoon ladies!
Due to the pouring rain (from Tropical Storm Hannah) on the morning of the originally scheduled Mutt Strutt Dog Walk, the event has been rescheduled for Saturday Nov 1st from 10am-1pm. The walk and event will be taking place at Historic Oak View Park in Raleigh and admission is FREE. Be sure to visit the WCAS website for details.
